Today should be a good day! We are having a get together with Ivan, Kristel, and Victoria and some of our friends from the US who are here visiting family! This will be an English packed weekend :) Tomorrow we are having a grill out with Carlos' family. His aunt and uncle who are also here visiting live in the US now, so they speak English too! Today for lunch we are having filet mignon and some sort of potatoes. Carlos bought the meat yesterday and spent $20. He got 3 lbs! That is one thing I LOVE about Colombia, basic (non-american) things are pretty cheap for the most part!

Another thing here that I absolutely LOVE is Johana! I can't say it enough! She is amazing, and I don't know what I will do without her (well, I do know.. I will be back to doing the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and everything else around the house) She is a miracle worker on stains. You know how babies/toddlers get food all on their clothes. I kind of just figured that stains were a way of life. I had tried to get most of them out, and when it didn't work, I figured it was a lost cause. Well it is not! She has gotten stains out of every single stained article of clothing. I have no idea how she does it, but I need to find out, or I will be bringing her lots of presents the next time we come :)
On a happy note- I think Emma is really liking school! Yesterday, according to Carlos, she cried for less than a minute, and he thought it was probably just thanks to the fact that the other kids were crying. She is still crying when I pick her up at noon, but but she seems just very relieved to see me, and the teachers say that she only starts crying when they say "Emma! Mama!" :) Then today she got her "bee" and was trying to leave!
