As you may have seen on Facebook, Emma was very emotional when I picked her up. It seems like it was just because she was very relieved to see me. I got all out of sorts because I was so surprised that she was crying, and I couldn't figure out how to ask how long that was had been going on, and there was a line of people waiting to get their kids.

I was not making any sense, and the mom behind me said, "excuse me, what are you trying to say?" I almost blurted out, "OMG you speak English!!!!" but I thought that would be rude, so instead I just had her translate for me, and then when I got my info, I just said thanks and walked away.. Then I kicked myself! I finally found someone who speaks English and I didn't say anything!! If nothing else, I will get to meet her at parent night next week. Also, to make things even better there is an ENGLISH teacher starting on Friday! This was advertised as a bilingual school but I had forgotten all about that until Carlos told me the good news! I have been feeling a little like her dad's girlfriend or the babysitter since Carlos still has to do all the communication with them, but now, finally, I will be able to get the updates from the teacher! I think Emma will be happy too, so that someone will be able to speak to her in English if she is upset!

On another note- I have a new addiction. This is Colombian "cream cheese" but it is more the consistency of margarine. It is so delicious on crackers!
